A Sunday Reflection: The Heart Behind Marquette Coffee

A Sunday Reflection: The Heart Behind Marquette Coffee

Today’s post is different from my usual ones. I wanted to share a few things close to my heart and express a few concerns. To begin, Sundays mean a lot to me. It's a day I can relax after a long week of performing civic duties or catching up on work for Marquette Coffee. Sundays also remind me to think of others and give back, which is one of the reasons I started Marquette Coffee.

A Short History Lesson About Us

Before my company was known as Marquette Coffee, it was JML Coffee. In 2022, I took on the challenge of growing the company into a national brand with very little initial funding. Soon after, in 2023, I formed the JML Coffee Foundation to carry out the mission of giving to others and providing opportunities to people in need. When you purchase from us, you contribute to our Foundation. At the beginning of this year, I renamed the company to Marquette Coffee for numerous reasons, including paying homage to our roots in Marquette, Michigan, and improving our branding. This year, I have been pushing to reach new people and break barriers in achieving our mission for the company and the JML Coffee Foundation.

Where JML Coffee Foundation Stands Today

The JML Coffee Foundation can cover its basic administrative needs each month, and your purchases from Marquette Coffee make that possible! The Foundation is still far from being able to help others and make a significant impact on people, communities, and businesses. I see many great things to come with your continuous support and by taking a chance on us to prove that our coffee and tea are top-notch in quality and value.

JML Coffee Foundation In The Future

I have a few goals that I hope to accomplish this year:

  1. Rebrand JML Coffee Foundation to Marquette Coffee Foundation: I have laid some groundwork for the name change.
  2. Achieve sustainability to register and maintain its exemption status: Due to extraordinary filing fees, these two goals are challenging but obtainable with support.
  3. Generate enough funds to support the foundation's mission: Currently, the foundation can only cover its administrative needs.
  4. Develop a source of passive income to help grow its resources and further its causes.

Author Remarks

I am thrilled that so many of you enjoy the coffee and tea we take pride in. Starting Marquette Coffee and growing it to where it is now has been a challenging journey, but it's worth it because of all the smiles our coffee and tea have brought. My dream is to one day say that I have made a difference in my life and the lives of others. I know that I cannot do this alone, but when a few people make a purchase from Marquette Coffee, it can affect many people, communities, and businesses. After you read this blog post, I encourage you to try our products and support a greater good.
